The Online Trading team has responsibility for acquiring new Sky Customers and upgrading existing customers through various digital channels (Organic Search, Paid Search, Display advertising, Affiliates and Email). Generating large volumes of high quality traffic to the website and then converting that traffic as well as possible are the primary goals for the team. Online is one of the most important channels for Sky and is set to become even more crucial as a number of exciting initiatives roll-out. In order to realise this ambition we require candidates ideally with a background in online marketing and with a strong desire to make things happen. Role We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Marketing Manager to join the Online Sales team with a key focus on co-ordinating & driving the digital strategy to grow existing customer upgrades and new customer product attachment rates online. Sky is one of the largest online advertisers in UK and the online route to market is now established as one of its most cost-effective platforms. This role will involve: Digital marketing specialist Devise & execute the full suite of marketing activity for the Online Sales Team · Digital Roadmap: Devise and implement a digital marketing strategy which meets upgrade and attachment targets for 13/14 and beyond alongside channel and specific product owners. You will also take responsibility for working with the online display creative team to develop and execute a creative strategy for each product area. · Online Sales: Drive online upgrades / attachments of certain additional Sky products over and above the basic TV pack (e.g. Entertainment Extra . Sky Go Extra, Multiscreen, Sky Sports, Sky Movies and Broadband), through the planning, implementation and measurement of online marketing campaigns (incorporating affiliates, PPC, display, and email). The role is therefore responsible for helping deliver existing customer upgrades and new customer product attachments through online advertising. · Test, Measure, Learn: Analysing and optimising the online marketing mix across both media planning and creative development to hit targets. Continual exploration of new channels or partners through which we can target and acquire new customers / upgrade existing ones. Measurement of results, communication and recommendations for ongoing improvement and optimisation of plans. · Budget Management: Make decisions on the best use of up to £4.2m p/a marketing budget across a selection of Sky products - working with the Senior Marketing Manager to deploy and manage budgets. Essential Skills Demonstrable experience delivering digital marketing activity across a range of channels. Proven ability to develop & execute rolling marketing plans with an integrated focus. Understanding of commonly used web tools and technologies and an ability to write concise business/marketing requirements into a language understood by both a creative and technical audience. Comfortable & experienced managing large budgets with complete autonomy. Able to manage & influence internal & external stakeholders across a number of different levels. Experienced measuring digital activity & performance Demonstrable experience working within a high pressured commercial trading environment. Experienced driving digital marketing activity with a subscription based product. Numerically savvy; able to understand financial & commercial indicators. Able to glean actionable insight from data. Tireless and result driven mentality, able to continually critique and optimise performance. Desirable Skills Marketing specific qualification (e.g. CIM). Demonstrable experience understanding a customer journey and where efficient & effective optimisation changes can be made.
