Marketing Manager – Advertising/communications The Position This is an exciting and challenging position for a talented and energetic Marketing Manager who thrives on new challenges and enjoys working in a fast-paced, highly flexible technology environment. Our European voice brands include some of the most successful brands in the telecommunications sector: 118 118 in the United Kingdom, 118 218 in France, 1818 in Switzerland and 11850 in Ireland, most of which are leading players in their respective markets. Based out of our Paris office and reporting to the Marketing Director, the Marketing Manager will have responsibility to assist in the development and execution of marketing programs that support targets for our Voice Brands across Europe. The role will be broad, driving all key elements of the marketing mix – above the line campaigns, below the line campaigns, market research, campaign analysis, support on product development. You will work together with the other members of the marketing team and manage several external agencies. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record of executing marketing strategy in a similar environment and a blend mix of analytical and creative capabilities, and enjoy taking full ownership of projects and getting things delivered fast and to a high standard of quality. Core Duties/Responsibilities: • Execute the delivery of marketing plans in the UK, France, Switzerland and Ireland, to deliver against the target budgeted volume and related KPIs, as recommended by the Marketing Director • Build and develop relationship with external agencies to deliver project on time and to budget. Ensure our key partners are performing to the expected level both in terms of quality and account management. • Manage advertising campaigns pre-production, production and post-production for TV, Radio, Print, OOH, and any other format agreed as part of the internal reviews. Work closely with our agencies to ensure all the details are covered and that the end results matches what has been agreed through the process. Take full ownership of the production of the campaigns in all agreed formats. Liaise with the Legal department to ensure legal mentions are correct. • Monitor all campaigns on an ongoing basis tracking progress against goals, identifying issues and recommending/executing on solutions for improvement. Measure and report campaign results, and work with appropriate internal contacts for lead assignment / follow-up • Manage the Marketing budget in conjunction with the Marketing Director and the Finance Department to ensure that all chosen markets are on budget for the month / quarter / year, or that any overspend has been previously agreed. Adjust the Marketing Finance roadmap based on the evolution of campaign timelines, and report back to the Marketing Director, the Chief Marketing Officer and the Chief Financial Officer. • Support the Marketing Director and the team on media plans execution if required • Communicate marketing plans and key messages from time to time to key audience internally. (e.g. Team Leaders, commercial teams, ops Managers etc) • Reporting: timely distribution of various reports on creation, production and performance • Provide support to the Marketing Director and to rest of the team when necessary work on defined projects as requested from time to time. Desired Skills and Experience Requirements • A bachelor's degree in marketing desired • 5-6 year work experience in marketing/communications (experience in Direct response preferred) • Comfortable in working in a fast-paced environment (agency background a plus) • High energy, results oriented and self-motivated team player • A “can-do attitude” and don’t see problems, only solutions • Willing to both work on high-level strategy and roll up his/her sleeves when required • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and oral • Moderate to advanced proficiency in MS Suite – in particular with Excel and Powerpoint • Passionate, analytical, flexible • Fluent in both French and English, German a plus.
