The opening of the NYUAD Arts Center on Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi, in Fall 2014 is an opportunity for an experienced Senior Producer to be an integral part of a dynamic multi-arts program of international, regional, and student productions across the multiple venues of this promising cultural hub. This key position will be part of an initial small production team that will be in place at building hand-over and responsible for opening the center. It will require someone who is resourceful, adept in a fast-paced learning environment, and able to work nimbly with all departments in assembling the infrastructure for this new endeavor. The ideal candidate will be someone with both exceptional attention to detail and the interpersonal skills to work with diverse constituencies in advancing productions and overseeing the implementation of all of NYUAD Arts Center’s public programs. The Senior Producer will report to the Executive Artistic Director, work closely with the Production Manager, and eventually be supported by an Associate Producer and a Programming & Artist Services Coordinator in realizing the Executive Artistic Director’s programming vision and ensuring that all events at the NYUAD Arts Center represent the core values of excellence, collaboration, creativity, accessibility, innovation, respect, and understanding. The Senior Producer will also work in close partnership with the Director of Academic Programming, other faculty, and the student life department to insure that student productions, university presentations and events are given the same professional attention as visiting artists. Key Responsibilities Oversee the implementation of the artistic season, produce and provide oversight and management for all productions Work with the Director of Academic Programming to produce and provide oversight and management for all student productions and university events at the Arts Center Develop, execute, track, and monitor the budgets for all programs in consultation with Artistic Director Ensure that production schedules and timelines are set and effectively managed by program staff in communication with artists, creative team members, and production staff Manage programming and production meetings with artists, designers, production personnel, and NYUAD Arts Center staff to determine timelines and progress in all areas of program development and logistics Liaise with other departments (marketing, finance, house management, etc.) to disseminate necessary information pertaining to upcoming productions Advance performance contracts for all programs Oversee the acquisition of appropriate rights and licenses of existing works for presentations as needed Education Requirements Essential Masters Degree in a relevant discipline Experience Requirements Essential Minimum of 5+ years work experience producing non-profit performing arts events preferably with a range of disciplines: dance, theater, and music. University experience is a plus Effective skills in planning, contracting, budgeting, scheduling, and the implementation of projects with a high level of attention to detail are required. Excellent record-keeping skills, organization, and ability to multi-task History in a senior leadership role at a large performing arts center or major international festival preferred Desirable Arabic speaking, regional knowledge or experience is considered an asset
